Middlesbrough 2 Brentford 2

Brentford led twice before having to settle for a point at the Riverside Stadium.

Yoann Barbet put them ahead just before the half-hour mark with a header from Ollie Watkins’ free-kick.

Middlesbrough levelled midway through the first half – the first of three goals in eight minutes.

Martin Braithwaite fired home from close range after being found by Ben Gibson’s header, before the Bees’ lead was restored when Florian Jozefzoon crossed from the left and Watkins applied the finish.

Boro hit back again, this time through Fabio, and then appealed in vain for a penalty when Cyrus Christie went down under a challenge from Watkins.
