Bees agree deal to sign Dundee United winger

Brentford have agreed a deal with Dundee United to sign Alistair Coote.

The 19-year-old winger is on his way to London to complete the deal after a nominal fee was agreed.

Coote, who will initially play for Brentford’s B team, made 16 appearances for Scottish Championship side United last season, most of them as a substitute.

He was praised for his impact by United boss Ray McKinnon after returning from a short-term loan at East Fife.
